really, Anet can do anything they want in GW2 and we'll just take it the same way we took all the crap they fed us in GW1...
The Realm of Torment is still around, but now it is under Kormir's control, not any evil's control *unless some cheesy plot twist makes Kormir go insane*

The Realm of Torment is a supposidly a subsection of the Underworld and was supposed to be an area that the truely evil spirits would find themselves in. However since it also was prison to Abaddon after thousands of years in there, Abaddon began to change it to his own fitting - his Nightfall. So once Abaddon and Mallyx are destroyed the Realm of Torment goes back to its original purpose.

Why would we destroy it in the first place? the goal was to defeat Abaddon and free the spirits that had been caught up in his plans aswell as stop Nightfall. Destroying it was not one of the goals.
